Stuffy the Scarecrow does not have much experience scaring crows. In fact, today is his first day out in the corn patch, and his first encounter with the dreaded black birds leaves him filled with fear. Over the course of his ordeal, Stuffy discovers he can overcome his fear by putting his trust in God’s assurance that He has “not given us the spirit of fear” (II Timothy 1:7).
