In Leviticus 27:30 it is written, “…And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord.” From this biblical mandate and other principles of Scripture, we understand the tithe to be the first tenth of our income, paid as a voluntary contribution for the support of the work of God’s kingdom. Within the Apostolic Pentecostal church, tithing is considered another form of worship.
