When we run to Jesus. He runs to us. His plan for humanity includes the free will to choose to seek the Lord or to ignore Him. When He notices we are headed His direction, He comes running our way. Jesus gets excited when we choose to follow him.
We find many examples in Scripture that indicate the nature of God as He longs after the church, His bride. He stands at the door and knocks. If we let Him in, we enjoy sweet fellowship together.
