Big Idea — The events of the Book of Acts were the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, many of which continue to be fulfilled in the present day. This series will identify four of those Old Testament prophecies, explore how they were fulfilled in the Book of Acts, and challenge students to act on those prophetic promises in their daily lives.
• Week 1 —The Promise of the Holy Spirit
His Holy Spirit to everyone, and that promise is still available to believers today. This lesson will focus on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our personal lives, and the spiritual gifts and promises that accompany its outpouring.
• Week 2 — The Establishment of the Church
The church is the manifestation of God’s kingdom on earth. Those who receive God’s Spirit should be full and active participants in the church.
• Week 3 — A Kingdom for All Cultures
God’s kingdom includes all who call on His name, regardless of their social, economic, or ethnic background. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are called to show God’s love and proclaim His mercy to everyone.
• Week 4 — Empowered to Be Witnesses
The early church was characterized by a bold determination to preach the gospel everywhere, even in the face of opposition. Students should exhibit that same determination to share the gospel in our present world.
